I stopped HEARING THEIR VOICES in my head

Every time a message came saying "the soldier is no more," for about a week his voice would still ring in my head. Clear sentences, what he had said, how he had said it.

Then it would fade.

Until the next message. About another soldier. Then this one's voice would ring. Sometimes - our past dialogues.

But now… Now everything has gone silent.

Even when I try, THEY NO LONGER RESPOND. Not in my head, not in reality.
